To book a session, you can go ahead and self-schedule your own sessions as a first-time client or a returning client at the top of the page that says to book an appointment which will send you to a different website called Simple Practice. If you would rather book a free 15-minute consultation to see if we click, you can go on my contact page and submit your request there.

A consultation is usually where you get to ask your therapist all the questions you are wondering about. It’s not usually a phone call where I provide therapy. However, one question you can ask is how my approach can help you with whatever you want to work on! You can also ask any extra financial questions, what my schedule looks like, what availability I have, etc. This is also a great way to see if you like my style of therapy just with a short phone call.

Therapy can be beneficial for many but it first depends if you feel like you click well with your therapist. According to research, one of the top ways for effective therapy is how well the therapeutic relationship is between the you and your therapist aka if we hit it off. I understand we may or may not mesh well, but you can discontinue with me if we are not working out. Do what is best for you!

Each person’s therapeutic journey is different and that includes how long it takes. It can go as long as you want it to go. There will be times where I will check in and re-evaluate our goals for therapy, but ultimately, it is up to you to decide how long it takes.

At this time I am unable to accept insurance. I am working to hopefully provide superbills for being an out-of-network provider, so you can file a claim to get reimbursed for your session. But I do accept FSA/HSA.
Here are some benefits of not using insurance:
Confidentiality: Using insurance for therapy may require the disclosure of personal information and diagnoses to insurance companies, compromising confidentiality. By paying out of pocket, clients can maintain greater privacy and confidentiality.
Flexibility: Insurance companies often dictate the frequency and duration of therapy sessions, limiting flexibility and autonomy. Self-pay clients have greater control over their therapy experience, including session frequency and treatment duration.
Focus on Client Needs: Without the constraints of insurance requirements, our therapist can focus solely on meeting the unique needs and goals of each client, rather than adhering to insurance-mandated treatment protocols.
Quality of Care: Self-pay therapy allows for a more personalized and client-centered approach, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of therapy services. Clients receive the full attention and support of our therapist, ensuring the highest standard of care.

You’ll have a safe, judgment-free space to be yourself and share openly. We’ll work together to set goals that truly resonate with you, ensuring our sessions focus on what’s most important to you and your journey. There are also fidgets you can mess with and a nice comfy couch. I want my room to feel comfy and safe for you as much as possible. Also, maybe you’ll get some movie/show recs from me!
